Entry requirements

You must have passed the CCNA award and have a certificate registration number with Cisco. If English is a second language, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 with all components 5.0 or above, or TOEFL score of 550 with 4 in TWE (Test of Written English) or 213 in the computer-based test (essay rating 4). The course also requires familiarity with the use of the internet along with some basic keyboard and office style applications.

Admission Requirements

Important: There have been changes to the admission requirements for the 2009-2010 intake of this program.

2008-2009: Alberta High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalents and 50% in Social Studies 30 or Social Studies 33, and one of the following Grade 12 subjects: Math, Science, Social Science, Accounting, Law or a second language. For mature students, LIBR-200 (Introduction to Libraries) may be substituted for the third Grade 12 subject (available from distance learning).
