These degrees prepare a graduate to take on a variety of IT roles relating to local area networking, network management, computer systems administration, user support applications programming, Web site development and administration, database programming, and database management. A graduate will also be prepared to enter an advanced degree program.

Develop the skills necessary to design, implement, and maintain diverse network environments that meet business needs. This Network Architecture master’s specialization focuses on Internet, intranet, and extranet design, emerging network technologies, and the integration of divergent and disparate networks. The curriculum is based on the vendor-neutral concepts of network architecture, but also includes a Virtual Lab Environment that offers hands-on experience with vendor-specific network solutions. You will have the opportunity to acquire skills in designing, planning, and maintaining local and wide-area networks (LANs and WANs), and developing and implementing information security and disaster recovery plans. People who choose this specialization are often pursuing senior management or team leader roles in network management and administration, or network architecture and design.

As the business world becomes more and more inter-connected, computer networks and the people that manage them are becoming valued assets to companies. Graduates with a network management degree from Indiana Tech will be equipped to assist in the design and installation of network solutions for business, schools, or government offices.

This associate degree program provides you with a background in local area and wide area network (LAN/WAN) design and implementation. Network administration issues are also addressed. This program will prepare you to pursue certification as a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).

The Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology provides candidates with an opportunity to develop selected skills in a specific area. It can be taken either full-time over two semesters or part-time over three to four semesters. Appropriate performance in this program can be counted for credit towards half of the Master of Information Technology. Candidates are strongly encouraged to complete the unit ITEC802 Object Oriented Technology for the core component of their program.
