It has created a rationally-structured team of teachers with strong teaching and researching abilities, innovative spirit, and efficiency, including 5 doctoral tutors of doctors, 32 professors and associate professors, 21 Ph. D. In recent years, the discipline has been granted 7 awards at provincial and ministerial levels, 1 outstanding educational achievement awards, an outstanding teaching material award. And 4 academic books and over 270 academic papers (over 100 papers are selected by SCI / EI / retrieval system) have been published, 6 utility model and invention patents are granted respectively, 8 invention and 2 utility model patents are applied for, with a total research fund of more than 30 million yuan.

The discipline is a provincial, ministerial scientific research base of Network Control Technology and Intelligent Instrumentation key laboratories of colleges and universities in Chongqing, Automotive Electronics and Embedded Systems Engineering and Technical Research Centers of colleges and universities in Chongqing, the Ministry of Information Industry Post automatic control technology key laboratories, the Intelligent Instrument and Control equipment Engineering technology Research Center (co-established with the Four Joint Group of China), scientific research bases.
