The College of Technology currently offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Systems Technology, an Associate of Science Plan of study in Networking and a one-year networking Certificate of Applied Science. What you will learn
Technicians provide assistance and training to system users as well as administer the computer network.
Students learn techniques to investigate and resolve computer problems, both on a client computer and across an entire network.
Answer clients’ inquiries concerning the use of computer hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and support corporate networks.
Networking, routing (Cisco Levels 1-8).
Applications (Microsoft Office).
Operating Systems (Windows Server).
Troubleshoot communications and connectivity issues.
Approximately 40% of the classes contain hands-on training to provide the student with real-world experience.
Prepare to take industry certification tests such as CCNA, CCNP, MCP, and MCSE.

UG in Information Media at Computer Systems Technology Networking

The IM major, minor and certificate programs provide critical skills for the Information Age. Employers need people who can analyze problems, access information, validate, select, organize and present information. Information Media incorporates all of these competencies powerfully and effectively in its Information Media major, minor and Instructional Technology certificate. Encompassed in the major, minor and certificate programs are competency development in the theory and practice of education and information technology, instructional systems design, librarianship, and message design and delivery. In addition to the major, minor and certificate programs, the information media general education courses are available to all students interested in using newer technologies of learning.

Degree of Computer Systems Technology Networking at St. Clair College Canada

This program focuses on advanced computer network administration including network security. Computer systems technologists also have project management, systems analysis and design skills.

This program will appeal to students with a keen interest in highly complex network systems. They must have good communication and analytical skills, enjoy problem solving, be logical and very well organized.
